Each year, International Open Access Week offers a unique opportunity for the academic and research community to discuss the benefits and challenges of open access. In 2023, the guiding theme of OA Week is "Community rather than Commercialization".
Numerous Swiss universities and libraries have joined forces to create a diverse program of online, hybrid and local events for Open Access Week in Switzerland this year. Participating institutions include EPFL, Lib4RI, University of Basel, University of Berne, University of Geneva, University of Lausanne, University of Zurich, Zurich Central Library, and Lucerne Central Library.
The full program for International Open Access Week Switzerland is available here, offering a plethora of activities including online conferences, workshops, roundtables and exciting local events. Researchers, students, librarians and all those interested in open access are encouraged to participate and contribute to this week-long exchange of ideas.
UNIL is actively involved in this global initiative, and is planning numerous activities throughout the week!
