Class lists for EC, ILA and IELL
The class lists are in the upper right corner, under "documents".
(Please note that you will still have to officially register for classes and evaluations through the Faculty website)
If you have not yet pre-registered for a group in these classes, note that the preregistration system will be reopened on Monday 25 September, and will remain open until Thursday 28 September at 12h. Please preregister on Monday using the links below.
English Composition (EC)
Introduction to Literary Analysis (ILA)
Introduction to English Language and Linguistics (IELL)
The revised groups will be published on the department website (http://unil.ch/angl/home.html) in the “1st year students” section on Friday 29 September.
For this first week of classes only, students who have not preregistered may choose to go to one group for EC, one group for ILA, and one tutorial for IELL. Please note that the instructor may ask you to go to a different group if there are too many extra students. From 2 October onward, you will be expected to attend your assigned group.
We remind you that all new first-year students of English must participate in a written proficiency test assessment during the first three weeks of semester. This assessment takes two hours and should be written outside of class time. All tests will be held in Anthropole 1015 (the language lab) during weeks 1 and 2. In order to register for a slot, you must access Moodle, which is the university's learning platform. Your unil username and password are required for both accessing Moodle to sign up for a test slot and taking the test. In the top right-hand corner you will find the pdf document with the instructions to sign up for the Proficiency test.
