In the latest worldwide university ranking in actuarial science published by the University of Nebraska, HEC Lausanne’s research in Actuarial Science has achieved an excellent 4th place among all international business schools.
The ranking is based on the research contributions from the four top leading Actuarial Science Journals: Insurance: Mathematics and Economics (IME), North American Actuarial Journal (NAAJ), ASTIN Bulletin: The Journal of the International Actuarial Association (ASTIN), and Scandinavian Actuarial Journal (SAJ).
“The ranking underlines the academic excellence of the research carried out by the professors, post-doctoral researchers and PhD students in the Department of Actuarial Science. This cutting-edge research positioning also influences the teaching content of the Master of Science in Actuarial Science and is therefore directly beneficial to our students.” says Prof. Joël Wagner, director of the Department of Actuarial Science.
Indeed, HEC Lausanne is one of the world's top locations for actuarial education. The Master of Science in Actuarial Science offers students the opportunity to get all the course background required by the Swiss Actuarial Association for professional actuarial practice.
