Turning research into art and art into research: The alchemy of arts‐based health research
Q. What does a singing owl, two queer octogenarians having a tipple, and an open‐air art gallery in the bush have in common?
A. They all feature in the arts‐based health research produced by the Te Ārai Palliative Care and End of Life Research Group located at the University of Auckland’s School of Nursing.
Dr Lisa Williams will unravel the backstory of the owl, the octogenarians and the open-air gallery in her presentation on the group’s research. In doing so, she’ll explain the link between the empirical evidence that underpins the creative artefacts and how the group went about crafting them.
This presentation will be given in the context of a Research Breakfast at the CHUV Service de soins palliatifs et de support. The presentation will be live-streamed via WEBEX for external audiences.
