We are happy to announce that our colleagues in HEC, Dr. Kavous Salehzadeh Niksirat, Lahari Goswami, Pooja Rao, James Tyler, Alessandro Silacci, Sadiq Aliyu, and Prof. Mauro Cherubini, received the best paper award at ACM CHI 2023.
The ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (or CHI) is an A*-ranked venue and the most prestigious conference in Human-Computer interaction.
In their paper, “Changes in Research Ethics, Openness, and Transparency in Empirical Studies between CHI 2017 and CHI 2022,” they assessed how the Human-Computer Interaction community has progressed to be more ethical, open, and transparent. They also suggested ways to improve these practices, which apply to other scientific fields (beyond HCI).
