The Swiss Institute of Comparative Law and The Center of Comparative, European and International Law is happy to welcome Dr. Asya Ostroukh
Dr. Asya Ostroukh is a tenured senior lecturer at the faculty of law of Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies (Barbados) where she teaches jurisprudence, comparative law, real property, and advanced legal writing. She received her Ph.D. in law from the University of Edinburgh.
Dr Ostroukh’s research interests are the reception of the French Civil Code in Francophone territories, the history of property law, comparative analysis of limited real rights, and the legal history of the Caribbean. Dr. Ostroukh is the author of over thirty publications and a holder of numerous fellowships, awards and grants, including the Government of Canada Award, the Scholarship of the Swiss Confederation, and the Fulbright Scholarship.
