We have partnered with IMARIS to deliver a 4 week course designed for students and researchers who are interested in learning more about how to use different microscopy techniques to answer their scientific questions. It will run from October 3 to October 24 with a 2h session every Monday at 9h30 CEST.
๐ฆ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ญ- Light Microscopy: Overview
In the first session Dr. Paula Sampaio will set the ground for the next modules and will give you a theoretical overview about light microscopy techniques and how to use them to answer your scientific question.
๐ฆ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ - Data Analysis I: Fiji
The second session, held by Dr. Gábor Csordás, will give you an overview of Fiji and how you can use this open tool to analyze your microscopy images.
This session will be interactive and the participants will receive instructions prior to the session to optimize time and better explore Fiji possibilities.
๐ฆ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฏ - Data Analysis II: IMARIS
In this session, Dr. Nick Jones (Regional Sales Engineer, IMARIS), will present Imaris functions, showing the different packages that are available depending on the field of research and what they include. This will be followed by a practical session where you will test the software.
IMARIS will provide a free trial version after the webinar for everyone who wants to keep exploring the software after the session.
๐ฆ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฐ: Roundtable
In this session, the speakers will explore the different types of microscopy they use and how it applies to their specific scientific questions, the kind of data obtained and how it is processed. We invited world-class experts in their fields: Dr. Eurico Morais de Sa (Optogenetics, confocal - I3S, Porto); Dr. Timo Dellmann (STED - CECAD, Cologne) and Prof. Ralf Jungmann (DNA painting - Max Plank Institute, Munich).
