On August 1, 2022, Gautier Stauffer joined the Department of Operations at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Lausanne, as Associate Professor in operations management.
How to reorganize an urban distribution network to meet sustainability challenges (and improve profits)? How to foster collaboration between supply chain actors by designing fair revenue sharing mechanisms? How to reorganize humanitarian operations to be more responsive in the field? Gautier Stauffer's research aims to answer these types of production and supply chain management questions using data-driven operations research approaches.
Prof. Gautier Stauffer received his PhD in mathematics from EPFL in 2005. He was successively postdoc at MIT, researcher at IBM Research, holder of an Inria Chair of Excellence at the University of Bordeaux, associate professor at Ensimag (Grenoble) and senior professor at Kedge Business School (Bordeaux). His work has been published in leading operations research journals such as Mathematics of Operations Research, European Journal of Operations Research and Mathematical Programming.
