FBM Awards 2022: honneur à l'excellence

Le Décanat de la FBM a récompensé les talents de quelques personnalités de la Faculté avec la remise de 14 FBM Awards le jeudi 16 juin 2022 dans le cadre de sa soirée d'été. À cette occasion, un hommage a également été rendu aux professeur·e·s honoraires de l'UNIL nommé·e·s en 2022.

Yolanda Schaerli
For her substantial involvement in the Bachelor program of the School of Biology, in particular for her unfailing commitment in synthetic biology

Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award - School of Medicine
Francesca Amati
For her creativity and commitment to consistently provide high quality physiology practical classes and continuous improvement of the medical curriculum, promoting a spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration

Special Award for Outstanding Dedication in Practical Teaching
Emmanuel Tamchès
For his substantial commitment to teaching palliative care, in particular his remarkable ability to provide guidance and emotional support to students in a caring spirit of high-quality exchanges of experiences

Special Award for Outstanding Dedication in Practical Teaching
Catherine Beigelman-Aubry
For her substantial involvement in the Bachelor and Master programs of the School of Medicine, in particular for her unfailing commitment in diagnostic thoracic imaging

Young Researcher in Basic Sciences Award
Martina Legris
For her work showing how the class of plant photoreceptors known as phototropins control leaf curvature depending on light direction

Young Researcher in Clinical Sciences Award
Matthaios Papadimitriou-Olivgeris
For his work on multi-resistant bacteria leading to pneumoniae and endocarditis, and his involvement in the establishment of the SARS-CoV-2 registry at the University Hospital CHUV

Jürg Tschopp Basic Life Sciences Award
Edward Farmer
For his innovative and pioneering work on damage-induced electric signaling and plant responses to pathogenesis

Lifetime Achievement Award
Nouria Hernandez
For her pioneering work on the assembly and mechanisms of the RNA polymerase III complex, and for her outstanding contribution to the UNIL community first as CIG Director and then as Rector of the University

Lifetime Achievement Award
Thierry Calandra
For his work on innate immunity, sepsis and infections occurring in surgical and intensive care units, and for his commitment to the University Hospital CHUV and to the Infectious Diseases Service

Communication Award
Alexandre Roulin
For his outstanding commitment to the development of communication strategies and actions for peace thanks to his worldwide recognition in owl research

Marine Jequier Gygax
In recognition of her support for women’s careers and promoting equality and inclusion, through the founding of the WICH association
