HEC Lausanne (UNIL) has just been awarded the BSIS label for the second time for a period of three years, attesting to its impact on the local and international levels.
The Business School Impact System (BSIS) is designed to determine the extent of a business school's impact on its local environment. This process is reserved for member schools of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the label is an international sign of appreciation.
HEC Lausanne has thus received this label for a second time, after having documented its impact (intellectual and economic) on the Lausanne region, the Canton of Vaud and Switzerland. According to Marianne Schmid Mast, Dean of the Faculty, “undertaking our second BSIS process enabled us to take stock of our progress along the seven key impact areas, update relevant data as we enter important quality processes, (re-) engage in meaningful conversations with stakeholders, and discover and expand upon narratives concerning our School’s impact. The report and visit served as opportunities to reflect on the evolution of our institution, reinforcing the sense of our long-term strategy and inspiring discussions that yielded fruitful ideas to pursue during the first year of our new Dean’s Office. The timing and expertise afforded us was especially helpful as we build on a strong past and forge ahead with new leadership and new goals regarding our School’s local and international profile.”
