A Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at HEC Lausanne (UNIL), Roxana Mihet was named a winner by the FPFS last December and will receive a highly competitive research fellowship.
The research fellowship from the Sandoz Family Philanthropic Foundation (FPFS)-Monique de Meuron programme fostering up-and-coming academics is awarded once a year to an assistant professor designated by each of the universities in French-speaking Switzerland, and given to the best candidate in human sciences and in natural sciences following an examination by an ad hoc committee of experts.
UNIL and HEC Lausanne put Roxana Mihet forward for the FPFS award for her work on the information economy and the behaviors induced by the availability and accessibility of digital data, particularly in the fields of economics and finance. The FPFS funding will support her research projects in this area for up to four years.
“I am extremely honored to receive this competitive research fellowship. The funding will help me advance my research on the potential economic, political and social implications of the current path of AI technologies on our society and guide us on how and when we should regulate them.”
HEC Lausanne congratulates her on the award!
