In this newsletter, you will learn that the Rectorate has validated the continuation of distance learning beyond November 15, in parallel with the in-person courses. Furthermore, the Vaud State Council has accepted the extension of weekly pooled tests for unvaccinated and first-time vaccinated students, in order to obtain a certificate valid for one week, allowing them to attend in-class courses and to visit the university libraries. The validity of these measures remains subject to possible modifications that would be enacted by the political authorities before their expiration, depending on the evolution of the pandemic situation.
Courses given in person, with an online alternative until the end of the semester
All professors deliver their teaching in presential mode, subject to special cases (see "Special situations" in point 3.2 of the Protection and organization plan for teaching at Bachelor, Master and doctorate levels during the fall semester 2021-2022).
Validation of the continuation of distance learning after November 15: For each course, a broadcast and/or recording is offered to allow synchronous and/or asynchronous distance learning until the end of the Fall 2021 semester.
Free weekly saliva tests until the end of the semester
For the autumn semester 2021-2022 and the subsequent examination session, UNIL gives the opportunity to students who have not been vaccinated to benefit from a free PCR test on the basis of which a UNIL attestation will be issued, in accordance with the decisions of the Vaud State Council.
Two centers are open on campus without appointment from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday:
First-time vaccinees: Students who have started the vaccination scheme by receiving a first dose can go to one of the two UNIL testing centers (see above) to receive a certificate allowing them to follow the courses.
