As the autumn intake approaches, teleworking is still recommended by the Federal Council. In this newsletter you will find more information about the possibilities of working on site and remotely. Then, you will find news about the health measures on campus. Finally, you will find information on the organisation of events, teaching methods for the autumn semester, and access to the campus restaurants.
Teleworking and working on site
For activities that allow it, teleworking is recommended. It remains possible, if necessary, for the entire activity rate.
On-site work is authorised when it reduces the personal difficulties encountered by colleagues. UNIL invites unit managers to consider the situation of each individual.
Provided that the performance of activities is not hindered, it is recommended that no more than 50% of a unit's colleagues be present on site simultaneously. This principle and the corresponding provisions apply as long as telework is recommended by the Federal Council.
The implementation of the new modalities of the Directive 1.40 on flexible and mobile forms of work is postponed accordingly.
When working on site, the health measures in force must be strictly respected:
The specific rules for buildings under the responsibility of the CHUV or EPFL apply.

Teaching at the start of the academic year in September
The new provisions enacted by the Federal Council, in view of the current situation, allow a return to in-person teaching, with no restrictions on the number of students or room occupancy, but with the wearing of a mask being compulsory. The use of video recording, broadcasting and recording of courses will be the subject of communications by the faculties.
The cafeterias are no longer reserved solely for members of the university community. The number of people at each table is no longer limited. More information
The University Sports Centre is open according to the modalities available on the University Sports Service website.
