Award to support study of myeloid cells in the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma
The Korea Research Foundation award from the National Research Foundiation of Korea (NRF) to Jaeoh Park will support his work on the "Elucidation of multifaceted role of myeloid cells in the progression of Hepatocellular carcinoma". Jaeoh joins the Ho Lab as a postdoctoral researcher.
"As the altered metabolic pathways are increasingly emerging as a targetable vulnerability of cancer, the research theme of Pr Ping-Chih Ho's lab inspired me to pursue my career in the immunometabolism field." explains Jaeoh Park. "I look forward to gaining a deeper understanding of immunometabolic regulation of cancer, and making my contribution to cancer research."
Previously, Jaeoh Park obtained his PhD at the KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) studying the role of the Hippo pathway in pancreatic cancer.
The KRF fellowship is one of the international cooperation programmes of the NRF.
