Registration for the Health Equity interdisciplinary summer school is open until July 10, 2021.
This five-day summer school from September 6 to September 10, 2021 proposes a global and systematic analysis of the concept of health equity through different specific daily themes. It will provide the epidemiological and conceptual depth necessary to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to integrate health equity into current practice and research as well as the advocacy necessary to defend the importance of health equity with the various actors and political decision-makers in the health sector.
It will be led by prominent international researchers and professors in the field of health equity, including Profs. Sir Michael Marmot, David Napier, Hans Wolff and Patrick Bodenmann, as well as doctors and researchers from the World Health Organisation, the University College London, Unisanté and the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève. Finally, the teaching team will be completed by officials from the Federal Office of Public Health and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
Primary intended for doctoral and master's students in the fields of health, public health, social and political sciences and social work, this summer school may also be of interest to students in the faculties of law, economics and international relations as well as health, public health and global health professionals.
