Department member Jean-Philippe Bonardi presented his research about "Managing Pandemics" at Cambridge Judge Business School
The University of Cambridge Judge Business School invited John-Philippe Bonardi, professor in the SGS department, to present his research in their international seminar series “Decision Support for Health Systems after COVID-19: Data, Models and Methods”.
John-Philippe Bonardi’s research provides valuable insights as to how pandemics can be dealt with as a management problem under uncertainty. His empirical results inform about the effectiveness of different Covid-19 measures in various countries.
His presentation with the title Managing pandemics: How to contain COVID-19 through lockdowns and releases has been followed by a lively discussion, in which also the co-authors contributed. They are Quentin Gallea and Dimitrika Kalanoski, both former PhD students at HEC Lausanne, as well as Rafael Lalive, Professor of Economics at HEC Lausanne.
Both the presentation and the Q&A session have been recorded, and are available here.
The SGS department congratulates Jean-Phillipe Bonardi to this presentation, and hopes you enjoy watching it.
