Jointly offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics (UNIL), IMD and EPFL, on behalf of Enterprise for Society (E4S), the new Master program in Sustainable Management & Technology will welcome its first students in September 2021.
For a responsible management, sustainable technology and shared prosperity
« To equip the entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs of the future with the knowledge and skills enabling them to contribute to the transition toward a more resilient, environmentally responsible and inclusive economy while harnessing the power of technology», this is the mission that the three partner institutions of E4S, UNIL-HEC, IMD and EPFL, have given themselves when they set up this totally innovative program.
What makes it unique and unprecedented, is that it focuses simultaneously and in a balanced manner on the three dimensions that are technology & innovation, economy & management, as well as the tools and skills necessary for the development of sustainable and interdisciplinary solutions.
Professor and Director of the program for UNIL-HEC, Olivier Gallay underlines the role of academic institutions in the transitions that our society must accomplish in the near future: « At a time when an entire economy is being shaken and disrupted, when a society as a whole is undergoing one of its most important challenges, the role of academic institutions becomes more than obvious: to train future leaders who will be able to forge the world of tomorrow by adopting innovative positions and largely integrating sustainability into their actions.»
Interdisciplinarity at the heart of the program: This Master program also relies on the mix of its students and the balance between management/economy-oriented and engineering-oriented profiles. The idea being to build on the strengths resulting from interdisciplinarity by involving students from both backgrounds in group projects and practical work.
If, as a student and future leader, you imagine yourself contributing to the creation of sustainable business models and you are ready to integrate environmental and societal concerns into your future activity while exploiting the potential of new technologies, this program is for you and promises to inspire you!
Applications are now open, and until April 15.
