We remind you that teleworking must be adopted for all activities that allow it. Thus, for administrative and technical staff, teleworking is recommended and, where appropriate, up to 100% if the activity allows it and if coordination can be ensured. This strong recommendation is valid until further notice and subject to future decisions by the authorities. We also remind you that the wearing of masks is compulsory in all circumstances in the buildings, as well as the respect of distance measures and hand sanitization. Regarding the coming weeks, the University will significantly slow down its activities from December 23rd at 5 pm to January 4th at 8:30 am. Most of the departments will work with reduced staff. From the modalities of access to the buildings to the special opening hours of the restaurants and the helpdesk: the organisation of UNIL during this period is detailed in this newsletter.
As it stands and subject to future decisions by the authorities:
Access to the buildings
The UNIL buildings are always closed and access continues to be by means of your Campus card. Don't forget to check its validity before the holidays! You will find all the useful information here: unil.ch/campuscard.
In the event of an extreme emergency, a UniSEP on-call service is available 24 hours a day and can be reached on the internal number 115 or 021 692 20 00. Please note: Any intervention by the standby service due to negligence will be subject to a charge of CHF 100.- to the person responsible.

For students, access to the buildings will be restricted from 23rd December. Students will only be able to go to the Unithèque, and only from 26th to 31st December and from 2nd to 3rd January (during the opening hours of the BCUL) on presentation of their student card to Securitas agents at the entrance of the building. The Unithèque's catering facilities (ground floor and mezzanine with microwave) will be fully available to students from 26th to 31st December and from 2nd to 3rd January (opening hours available here) as a revision area. Please respect the silence, as you would in a library.
