Practical information on campus during the Holidays
As it stands today and subject to future decisions by the authorities:
For students, access to the buildings will be restricted from the 23rd of December until 4th January. You will only be able to go to the Unithèque, and only from 26th to 31st December and from 2nd to 3rd January (during the opening hours of the BCUL) on presentation of your student card to Securitas agents at the entrance of the building. The Unithèque's catering facilities (ground floor and mezzanine with microwave) will be entirely available to students from 26th to 31st December and from 2nd to 3rd January (opening hours available here) as a revision area (access without reservation). Please respect the silence, as you would do in a library.
You have the possibility to eat your personal meal on site and to have access to the microwaves and self-service machines. You will need to bring your own water bottles, knives and forks: glasses and cutlery will not be accessible.
In the event of an extreme emergency, a UniSEP on-call service will be on duty 24 hours a day and can be reached on the internal number 115 or 021 692 20 00. Please note: Any intervention by the standby service due to negligence will be charged CHF 100.- to the person responsible.
The BCUL library services will close on the 24th and 25th of December and on the 1st of January (Detailed information about their opening times here).
The helpdesk support will be closed on the 24th, 25th December and 1st January but will remain available only by telephone (021 692 22 11) or e-mail (helpdesk@unil.ch) between Christmas and New Year. The helpdesk counter at the Amphimax will reopen on January 4th, still by appointment and according to the usual schedule (8am-5pm).
The computer rooms will be closed from December 23rd.
Catering services will be closed from the 24th of December to the 3rd of January. Only the Unithèque will offer a catering service on the 28th, 29th and 30th of December. The Le Perchoir bar located at the Vortex will also be open. Detailed information: unil.ch/restos/horaires.

Getting tested, a sign of solidarity
Influenza-like symptoms multiply in winter and can be confused with those of Covid-19. If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to get tested! This is the only way to find out if you are a carrier of the new coronavirus, which you can pass on to your loved ones, for example your grandparents for the holidays. Getting tested at the first unusual symptom is both the best gesture of solidarity and our personal contribution to the fight against the epidemic.

Any doubts or questions, especially about symptoms? Go to www.vd.ch/coronavirus-sante and to http://www.coronacheck.ch/.
Please note that if you are symptomatic and do not need a medical consultation, the test will not cost you anything.
