Doctoral prizes were awarded to six doctors of HEC Lausanne this Fall semester 2020. The various prizes reward their theses for their scientific contribution and the innovative nature of their areas of research:
- Dr. Natasa Tagasovska (PhD in Information System), for her thesis ”An Information-Theoretic Perspective on Trustworthy Machine Learning” (Prix de la Fondation Nicolas et Hélène Porphyrogenis) supervised by Prof. Valérie Chavez and Prof. Periklis Andritsos.
- Dr. Jakub Hajda, (PhD in Economics, subject area Finance) for his thesis ”Three Essays in Dynamic Corporate Finance” (Prix de la Banque Cantonale Vaudoise) supervised by Prof. Boris Nikolov.
- Dr. Martin Bladt, (PhD in Actuarial Science) for his thesis ”Statistics of Extremes, Matrix Distributions and Applications in Non-Life Insurance Modeling” (Prix de la Banque Cantonale Vaudoise) supervised by Prof. Hansjoerg Albrecher.
- Dr. Marc-Antoine Coindreau (PhD in Business Analytics) for his thesis ”Managing Advanced Synchronization Aspects in Logistics Systems” (Prix de Faculté) supervised by Prof. Olivier Gallay.
- Dr. Ulrich J. Eberle (PhD in Economics, subject area Political Economy) for his thesis ”Three Essays in Political Economics” (Prix de Faculté) supervised by Prof. Dominic Rohner.
- Dr. Sirio Lonati (PhD in Economics, subject area Management) for his thesis ”Contributions to Establishing Causality in Management Studies: Three Essays on Experimental Methods, Latent Moderated Models and the Origins of Organizational Leadership” (Prix de Faculté) supervised by Prof. John Antonakis and Prof. Christian Zehnder.
