Jonas Heim, who is studying for a Bachelor’s in Economics at HEC Lausanne, University of Lausanne, has been awarded the Fulbright Foreign Student Grant. This prestigious grant will help him fund his Master’s studies, which he would like to pursue in the United States.
Subsidized by the US State Department and other participating countries, the Fulbright grant is part of a programme created in 1946, with the aim of encouraging exchanges and promoting peace and mutual comprehension between cultures.
Competition for the grant is fierce and open to all Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD students in both universities and Universities of Applied Sciences and Arts (HES). The selection procedure begins with establishing an initial shortlist of applications. As well as the three letters of recommendation required, candidates must also include two covering letters, explaining the aims of their study plan and their support for the values encouraged by the Fulbright grant. The second phase involves interviews held at the US Embassy in Berne.
HEC Lausanne would like to congratulate Jonas Heim and offers him its best wishes for what will undoubtedly be a fascinating and exciting experience in another country.
