On 31 March, the Swiss federal government announced the creation of the National Covid-19 Science Task Force, with a select group of academic researchers – including Prof. Marius Brülhart and Prof. Rafael Lalive from HEC Lausanne (UNIL) – making their expertise in the field and in science and research available to the political and federal authorities.
Prof. Marius Brülhart and Prof. Rafael Lalive from the Department of Economics at HEC Lausanne are two of the scientists and specialists appointed to the National Covid-19 Science Task Force. Along with four other specialists and led by Prof. Monika Bütler from the University of St Gallen, they will form the “economics” expert group responsible for responding to urgent questions on macroeconomics and the economics of health.
