In the context of the Enterprise for Society Center (E4S), four researchers from HEC Lausanne (UNIL), Jean-Philippe Bonardi, Marius Brülhart, Eric Jondeau and Dominic Rohner, and the researcher Jean-Pierre Danthine from EPFL are exploring this question. In particular, they suggest that if public funding of the economic costs of lockdown is required today, it is important to think carefully about the mechanisms used and the incentives or externalities they may generate.
