The University’s Rectorate and the Dean’s Office of HEC Lausanne decided to name room 233 in the Internef building after Prof. Olivier Cadot to honour his memory at an official ceremony.
Olivier Cadot was a professor of strategy and Vice-Dean of the School, but also an internationally renowned expert in trade policy and development economics, as well as joint director of the Institute of Applied Economics, CREA. He was very popular with both his students and the wider university community. The University’s Rectorate and the Dean’s Office of the School therefore decided to honour his memory by naming room 233 of the Internef building after him.
The ceremony was held in the presence of the University’s Rector, Nouria Hernandez, and the Dean of HEC Lausanne, Prof. Jean-Philippe Bonardi, on Friday 7 February 2020. It followed the public viva on the thesis by Alan Asprilla, a PhD student supervised by Olivier Cadot and Marius Brülhart, on the topic “Three Essays on Trade and Development Economics”.
