The University of Lausanne is strengthening its system of support for entrepreneurship and innovation by creating a HUB, which will be officially launched on 18 November as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).
1 HUB. 7 FACULTIES. THE SPIRIT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
The world is changing. Over 30% of students in the seven faculties at UNIL will set up their own businesses or work independently during their career. Our planet also needs all the innovative energy that can create solutions for the environmental and social challenges we face in the 21st century.
The University of Lausanne is responding by strengthening its system of support with the creation of the “Entrepreneurship and Innovation HUB”. The HUB is a platform that brings together UNIL students, researchers, business owners and external partners. Its aim is to combine forces, stimulate the spirit of entrepreneurship and support projects developed anywhere in the university community.
The HUB will be officially launched on 18 November at an evening event that will welcome inspiring speakers from UNIL and elsewhere, including:
The evening will also mark the opening, on campus, of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). GEW is a global movement supported by numerous universities, including UNIL as a partner, and is organised in Lausanne by the student association HEC Espace Entreprise (HEE). It follows on from Entrepreneurship Week, an event launched in 2015 by four student associations from HEC Lausanne at UNIL.
GEW is dedicated to the theme of demystifying entrepreneurship and will feature workshops, presentations and business lunches aimed at students in all UNIL faculties, with each day focusing on a different topic:
