The University of Lausanne offers from February 2020 a new CAS in the Regulation of Global Sport. It aims to give participants the opportunity to better know public and private institutions and to better understand mechanisms that govern sport at a global level.
Regulation is an important concept in global sport. It becomes more and more necessary to explore and understand this concept as the ecosystem of global sport nowadays includes public and private organisations in addition to the traditional international non-profit sport organisations, which are largely based in Switzerland. It is governed by domestic/national hard laws, which coexist with transnational soft laws and rules from various sporting bodies (IOC, WADA, CAS, IFs, etc.). To explore the new challenges and opportunities faced by global sport, the University of Lausanne proposes a new Certificate of Advanced Studies in the Regulation of Global Sport (CAS ReGS), starting in February 2020.
