Economics, finance, management and current and future technologies are some of the major areas that will shape our students’ pathways, with nearly 1'550 new arrivals embarking on a course at HEC Lausanne. Among them are almost 1'355 students joining a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme. Around 20 new PhD students will join the current 118 who have already started working on their dissertation. Turning to continuing education, 37 people have begun an Executive MBA, while 72 people started a certificate (CAS), diploma (DAS) or Executive Master’s (MAS) in 2019.
This year, there are a number of new courses on offer at HEC Lausanne, including the first year of the CAS in Management & Leadership and the ability to take a Bachelor’s course part time.
On the teaching front, two new professors have recently joined HEC Lausanne: Gaia Melloni, who specialises in accounting and corporate sustainability, and Michalis Vlachos, a data mining specialist.
As far as student life is concerned, the Haskins – Sport Society association, which aims to help students discover the world of sport through its role in society, joins the 12 university associations that are active on campus and officially recognised by the school. In addition, each Master’s programme now has its own students’ association and a new association, the Master’s Hub, has been created to head up their activities. More information about students’ associations.
All staff at the school extend a warm welcome to all students joining the campus for this new academic year.
