Real-time analysis of EU job offers and of the skills employers are looking for
What are the currently most valued and sought after job skills? Most specialists in these questions will answer: adaptability. With technologies and societies evolving always faster, being able to quickly acquire new knowledge and easily assimilate contemporary trends. Nevertheless, one has to rely on a certain set of skills as well, and all are not valued equally by the different trades and industries.
The European Center for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop), an agency of the European Union, recently announced the creation of a new analysis program, the Online job vacancies and skills analysis. Its aim is to provide an 'real-time' analysis of Union job vacancies, thus providing an up-to-date picture of the skills currently valued in the labour market, including emerging skills. The first results only concern seven countries, but Cedefop plans to expand its analysis to all members in the future.
