What is the 100 Digital Shapers list?
The ranking consists of a selection of pioneering figures in Switzerland, who recognize the numerous possibilities offered by digitization and who have a vision for the field, which they put into practice and thus shape our future. The Digital Shapers are selected by a judging panel made up of professors, entrepreneurs, business leaders and journalists. The ranking is accessible via an online platform and special report published jointly by three newspapers: Le Temps, BILANZ and Handelszeitung.
Nominated in the “Researchers” category
Professor Ghernaouti is listed in the researchers category, who are nominated “as developers as developers of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity systems or robots” and who are “paving the way for digitization”.
The researcher’s profile is full of praise:
“(...) Originally from Vaud Canton, she is one of the most influential figures in the Swiss academic world and at ease in all kinds of settings. For several years, she has been teaching her students at HEC Lausanne how to combat crime on the internet and protect their data. There is no-one like her in the cybersecurity field in Switzerland.”
