Max Geilinger Translation Grants for translations from English into a Swiss language and vice-versa
The Translation House Looren in Switzerland offers professional literary translators space to
concentrate on their work – and the opportunity to share their experiences with colleagues from all over the world.
In the autumn of 2012, the Translation House Looren received the anniversary award of the Max Geilinger-Stiftung – the foundation established 50 years ago in memory of the Zurich poet, dramatist and translator Max Geilinger (1884–1948) with the purpose of honouring individuals and institutions for their work in fostering literary exchange between Switzerland and the Englishspeaking world.
With the funding received from the 2012 prize, the Translation House Looren Association
awards the Max Geilinger translation grants twice a year.

Each grant consists of CHF 2,000 and includes a one-month stay at the Translation House Looren. Travel expenses are not covered.
