At the beginning of the year, we invited you to fill in a survey about the future of Open Access at UNIL. Today, we are pleased to announce that the report is now available in SERVAL both in English and French.
The English version of the report was published today and can be found here, as well as the raw data used to prepare it, which can be found here.
796 complete answers were recorded, which amounts to a participation rate of 20%, a rate that is significantly higher than those recorded for other similar surveys. The analysis of the responses showed that a majority of our researchers (in every faculty) agree with the Open Access principles. We have also learnt about the concerns that the 100% Open Access by 2024 National Strategy raise in our community, particularly concerning the publication of monographs. This was precisely the aim of the survey, and we would like to thank all the participants who took the time to answer it.
Many changes are brewing as a result of this report. We will keep you informed about it.
