Projet de bénévolat à Lesbos, Grèce
Marion Chip’o (University of Geneva), Sindhuja Sankaran (University of Warsaw), and Emanuele Politi (Institut de Psychologie, UNIL) have been selected to volunteer with an NGO at the refugee centres of Moria and Kara Tepe in Lesvos, Greece, during the Christmas break. More than six thousand refugees fleeing from persecution and war populate these centres, waiting for their application for political asylum to be accepted or rejected. In both facilities leaving conditions are harsh and conflict for resources is an ordinary matter.
By applying knowledge concerning group processes and intergroup dynamics we will assist refugees who have been living there in far from ideal conditions, for a long period of time with people from different cultures.
They will also join the Moria Education Centre, where volunteers and refugees try to assure basic education for children, adolescents and young adults. If you want to stay tuned or you would like to receive further information, please follow them on the blog “From the Borders"
