International Meeting in Psychological Research: Personality and Psychobiology

A meeting held at the University of Lleida on November 17 brought together two lab groups from the University of Lausanne, a group from the University of Lleida and scientists from three other institutions in Spain. The group shared results of previous collaborations, presented current projects and interests, and discussed future collaborations. The University of Lleida demonstrated enthusiastic support for this effort including a warm welcome from Albert Sorribas, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Technological Policy.
CEPCO was represented by Professor Jerome Rossier and by Amber Gayle Thalmayer, Gregoire Bolllman, Ieva Urbanaviciute, and Kokou Atitsogbe. Other participants from the University of Lausanne included several members of Professor Christine Mohr’s Laboratoire d'étude des processus de Régulation Cognitive et Affective. Professors Anton Aluja and Ferran Balada and several members of their Neurocognition, Psychobiology of Personality and Behavior Genetics group of the University of Lleida participated. Professor Oscar García, from the European University of Madrid, and Luis García, from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and colleagues from the National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (INEFC) and the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida (IRBLleida) also participated. At the end of the meeting, Professor Verònica Benet-Martínez, an ICREA Research Professor at the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, gave a keynote speech about personality and cultural identity.
