Department head Professor José Mata was elected in October to the Board of the European Academy of Management as National Representative of Switzerland (EURAM), where he replaced department member Professor Xavier Castañer.
The Board is in charge of the long-term strategic direction of EURAM. The Board is comprised of national representatives, the executive committee and a representative of the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM).
The national representatives play an important role in promoting EURAM in their respective countries and in cooperating with national management associations. The national representatives are usuaslly elected for a three-year term.
EURAM is a European based community for management scholars that was foundend in 2001. It aims at advancing the academic discipline of management in Europe. With members from 49 countries in Europe and beyond, EURAM has a high degree of diversity and provides its members with opportunities to enrich debates over a variety of research management themes and traditions.
