The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung has named Guido Palazzo, Professor at Faculty of Business and Economics at UNIL, one of the 30 most influential thinkers on economics and management in the "research" category. This is the second time in three years that he has been included in the ranking by this major daily newspaper which is a reference in German business and intellectual circles.
Guido Palazzo, Professor in the Strategy Department, already held 23rd place in this ranking in 2014. Economists and researchers from Austria, Germany and Switzerland are classified in three categories: research, media and politics. The ranking is based on the number of citations in research: with a total of 1,745 citations, Prof. Palazzo holds 27th place for 2017.
"This ranking is particularly important in the German-speaking countries", Guido Palazzo points out and stresses the fact that "it is an award not just for economists but also for researchers in the management field."
Regarded as the leading daily newspaper in Germany, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung is the equivalent of leading English language titles such as the The New York Times and the Financial Times, which cover both international and economic news.
