The department welcomes its two new PhD students Polina Popova and Morten Aaltvedt.
It is a great pleasure to announce the arrival of two new PhD students, Morten Aaltvedt and Polina Popova, in the department from September 1st. Polina obtained her Bachelor degree in Management from Siberian State Aerospace University. She did her Master degree at HEC Lausanne, graduating in 2015. Her main research interests are animal ethics, institutional entrepreneurship and values in the institutional change processes. More specifically, she is interested in the ethical dilemma of speciesism and the strategies of vegan institutional entrepreneurs in the complex social contexts. Polina will work with Professor Déborah Philippe and Guido Palazzo.
Morten obtained his Bachelor degree in Business and Corporate Law from BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, Norway. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Management from HEC Lausanne, where he specialized in international management. Morten is interested in a wide range of issues, such as corporate social responsibility or mergers and acquisitions. He will use his first year in the department to develop a specific topic for his work in collaboration with a professor from the department.
