QTEM (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management) is an international network which brings together outstanding Master's students, academic partners and international corporations. The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne is one of the founding members of this network which has now expanded to two new continents, America and Africa. 7 new academic partners joined QTEM in 2016. New, worldwide destinations are now available for HEC Lausanne students pursuing a QTEM certificate.
7 new academic partners
Until 2015, academic partners were located in Europe and Asia-Pacific. The network has now expanded to two new continents: America, with HEC Montreal, and Africa, with ESCA School of Management in Morocco.
In Asia, Xiamen University School of Management AMBA- and EQUIS-accredited is an additional partner, bringing to the network its expertise in accounting and finance in a campus often ranked as the most beautiful in Southern China.
QTEM also welcomes 4 new European academic partners, each with their own areas of excellence: the University of Exeter Business School, EQUIS- and AMBA-accredited and member of the internationally renowned Russell Group, is recognized for its high level in research and teaching in finance and economics. The Université Paris-Dauphine, EQUIS accredited, holds a unique positioning in France with a wide offer of programmes in organisation and decision-making sciences.
HEC Lausanne students with a focus on technology management will be particularly interested by the membership of Politecnico di Milano School of Management and Technical University of Munich School of Management. Both are AMBA-accredited and fit particularly well with the QTEM positioning.
Back to 2016 QTEM graduation ceremony
The QTEM certificate ceremony takes place annually in one of the institutions that make up its network. The 2016 QTEM graduation ceremony was held on November 19th at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. The network was proud to announce 25 graduates so far this year of which 5 are HEC Lausanne students: Alyssa Cornuz, Wilmer David Garcia, Laurent Lecouffe, Mégane Muehlestein and Felix Nockher. Our Faculty once again offer their congratulations to them: "QTEM students are outstanding" comments Madeleine Linard, Head of International Relations at HEC Lausanne. "Becoming one takes a bit of extra work, but students are then awarded a Master's degree at their home university along with the QTEM certificate, and distinguish themselves on the job market." Students who love quantitative courses and who are interested in entering this innovative network with great exchange destinations should contact the HEC Lausanne Mobility Office. Next QTEM application deadline is February 15, 2017!
